Title:
PTT 1311 (1)
Description:
Pennsylvania Transformer Technologies Porter 43 tonner. Originally built for the US Navy in 1942. Acquired by PTT in 1956 when it was declared surplus. It had a long career with that company until 1990 when it was placed in storage. It arrived at the trolley museum in 2002 after a long restoration. Features twin Cummins 150hp diesel engines. Built for power rather than speed, it could only go 20 mph tops. This remains in operating condition and is used to move around the standard gauge rolling stock owned by the museum.
