Description:
A nice original photo by C.C. Grayson of CNJ Mikado #856 built by Alco-Brooks in 1918., Specifics USRA Heavy, - M-1 class, 63" diameter drivers, 27" x 32" cylinders, a 190 psi boiler pressure, exerted 59,800 pounds of tractive effort and each weighed 320,000 pounds. Those left in the M-1 class that were not sold to Pittsburgh & West Virginia were scrapped between 1947-49.
