| Working the South Hammond Yard on this day was MON BL2 #37. The BL2's were built with lighter carbodies for use on "branch lines" (hence the "BL"). The concept was good but there were serious issues such as no side walkways for brakemen or yardmen to easily walk from the front to the rear of the locomotive. This is a Dennis Schmidt photo. |
