| Nice shot of the 69" drivers on New York Central 4-8-2 #3001 by an unknown railfan while on a visit to the National NYC RR Museum in Elkhart, Indiana. The NYC called these 4-8-2 giants "Mohawks" rather than the conventional "Mountain" wheel configuration as they thought it inappropriate for a "Mountain" loco to be pulling their advertised "Water Level Route" trains. |
