| Built by ALCo-Schenectady in October of 1920 as CCC&StL #6188 (serial #62285, class H-7e), the loco was later renumbered to 1988 in August 1936. It lasted on the roster until retirement in August of 1954. This photograph dated 1/15/1955 shows that it was still sitting in the scrap line at the Proviso yard. Unknown photographer |
