Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6430 and #6406. Both are J-1A (2-10-4) "Texans" built in Juniata. #6430 was built during September of 1943 and retired in February of 1959, while #6406 was built during June of 1943 and retired in August of 1958. Here, they're parked in Pitcairn Yard ~ having been decommissioned ~ on 3 March 1957. |
