| This northbound empty Canadian National-Illinois Central coal train was at the north end of FRENIER SIDING (milepost 887.3 ), about 30 miles north of New Orleans. The 150-car train had an ET44AC on each end, 3027 on the front and 3235 pushing on the rear, and was on its way from the Rail-Marine Terminal Co. terminal on the Mississippi River at Convent, Louisiana back to a mine in Illinois. It had just met the southbound CITY OF NEW ORLEANS. |
