Partial Caption: "You can almost hear Pennsylvania Railroad J-1 #6444 as it charges up and around Horseshoe Curve with a merchandise freight." Shown here is PRR engine #6444, a J-1 (2-10-4) "Texas" built in Juniata during November of 1943 and retired in February of 1960 after just 17 years of revenue service. |
