According to several sources, this Detroit, Toledo & Ironton Atlantic type locomotive was born in the PRR Juniata Shops in September of 1901 as Pittsburgh, Ft Wayne & Chicago #50, an E-2 class. In May of 1919, it was rebuilt and reclassified as an E-7sa unit and eventually sold to DTI. Paul W. Prescott photo credit |
