The Tioghnioga cut a deep narrow valley, a common landform in this part of NY. In the bottom is the river, the NYSW on the west side, and US 11 on the east. The train rolls down the deepest part of the gorge as it works toward Marathon. The consist today is a pair of RDC's, four ex LIRR P72 coaches, and five ex long distance/chair cars, with NYSW 4006 bringing up the rear. |
