| Two WSOR units and nine cars at MP 176 in Pickett. The United Co-op bay for unloading covered hoppers is just visible to the left of the photo. This bay is one of the improvements made after United Co-op purchased the Pickett Co-op. The Pickett Co-op unloaded covered hoppers open to the elements into a pit with a conveyor that transferred the load directly into trucks or the farmers gravity bins. The new facility allows for storage of the commodities unloaded and mixing in the elevator. |
