As the earliest example of an Atlantic type locomotive in this album, it was built by Burnham, Williams & Co (Baldwin) in 1904 as class 507 (first loco in series was #507). It had 79" drivers and produced an impressive 220 psi boiler pressure. This is a Forrest Trittenbach photo. The day in 1938 is approximate. |
