The Metro-North commuter railroad inherited a large fleet of EMD FL-9s, which were dual-mode diesel-electric/electric locomotives originally operated by the New Haven Railroad. They lasted until September of 2001, shortly after this picture was taken at Greystone, New York, of a pair headed by FL-9 number 2026. |
