PURCELL OK December 1978-- Santa Fe U36C 8753 head a train needing a crew to continue its travels south. GE built the 8753 (s/n 39703) in June 1974 and delivered it in yellow warbonnet. After a time in failed merger colors SPSF red and yellow it was repainted yellow warbonnet before Jan 1 1991. It was retired and returned to lessor in Sept 1993, soled to Pielet Brothers in July 1993 and scrapped.
