Hi-Level 40 seat leg rest chair-14 bunk dormitory-transition, built in 1964 by Budd in Lot #9670-320 as AT&SF Hi-Level 72 seat leg rest chair #730 for the EL CAPITAN, sold in 1971 to Amtrak as #9930, converted in 1980 to HEP at AT&SF Topeka Shops as #39930, with dormitory space and transition steps added, retired in 2003 and subsequently sold to Philip Sheridan-IFE Leasing, later resold to Bucol & Associates. Scanned with an Epson V550 from an original Kodachrome 35mm slide. |
