The NYC ran on solid ground here until the early 50s when the turnpike was being built. This, of course, necessitated this bridge that I'm on. As you look down the turnpike toward the west you can see that it crosses a large bridge. The CVSR and the Cuyahoga River are on the valley floor. It must have been a scenic ride for train crews. |
