Title:
PRR 8970, BS-16MS, 1960
Description:
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Columbus, Ohio, during August of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8970, a BS-16MS road switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1951, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service. The photographer's name and the number of the N-6B cabin car are not recorded. ("LouisFols"; #13 of 26)
