Here is another action shot of the Alco-Schenectady built 2-8-2 Mikado pulling a long string of boxcars near Minneapolis, MN. The construction of this class of 2-8-2's was begun in 1913 with this one being delivered in 1916. Specs - serial #56290, J class, 62" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, tractive effort of 59,167 lb. Most of this class was rebuilt in 1937-38 and reclassivied as Ja.
